Snow sports aren’t just sports, they’re essential.

Let’s make sure the snow season is protected!

We need to make sure the snow season resumes as soon as possible in Ontario.

Over the summer months, outdoor recreational operations like golf courses were supported by the provincial government, and we expected the same for this winter. Thousands of Ontarians rely on snow sports over the winter for employment, their physical health and mental health. This is what makes it essential, especially during these difficult times.
Snow Resort owners and operators across the province have implemented new protocols to keep all skiers and Ontarians safe. Resorts are separating their inside and outside offerings so adjustments can be made safely and efficiently depending on the current COVID-19 measures in the provincial framework. Outside operations at ski facilities have implemented a “Ski Well Be Well” standard and rules are in place to maintain physical distancing and PPE such as required face coverings and hand sanitization stations.

To keep snow resort employees and all skiers and snowboarders safe, we have created the Ski Well, Be Well ski area operating best practices. To learn more, see our new national protocol here.

Snow resorts are ready to fully reopen safely now and look forward to welcoming Ontarians for a safe, outdoor activity. We need your support to show the government that you care about your ski season and that skiing is a safe outdoor activity which supports the physical and mental health of thousands of Ontarians in the winter.

Send an email to your local MPP to ensure the snow season is protected this winter!
